Sra Pou vocational school

Sra Pou vocational school built in 2011 (rudanko-kankkunen) is a vocational training center and cummunity building for Sra pou village.
The project started in an Aalto university desing studio in spring 2010, and was possible whit NGO Blue Tent that was working whit the Sra Pou community.
The school is made out of local material with local workforce.

Public facilities: nursery in Pamplona

The building respond to the morphology to the plot. It provides a solution, from the architectural intervention, based in the opportunity:an aggressive element, breaking the scale. The proposal is not an isolated building in a more or less aggressive place but is part of a common base taking advantage of the geometry. Formally, configured as a simple elements forming a baseboard, which protects the views of the whole, open to the porch of children's games and courtyard . In turn, these elements hovering at night provide a reference point to the place, being the end of the square and shot of urban space.

 A temporally installation of 800 umbrellas was floating over one of Chinatowns courtyards in Vancuver in 2010. Designed, curated, and hosted by Organelle, ASIR Studio and Rural Urban Fantasy Project, who combine to reveal fantastic city spaces.

Let’s meet at Picnurbia

PICNURBIA offers space for people to come together, relax and watch. Inserted into the urban downtown neighbourhood, a community where people already live, work and visit, the site is intended to become an easily inhabited summer zone, where people may gather to enjoy the long summer days.

Luxury holiday resort; San Zhi

The idea was to build a  luxury holiday resort in San Zhi, Taiwan. Construction began whit a  project of a modular circular housing  and rectangular modules as vertical communication.

La ciudad de San Zhi, en Taiwán idea era construir un complejo lujoso vacacional en a la isla china, entre Damshui y Baishawan; San Zhi. La construcción comenzó basándose en un proyecto de viviendas modulares de planta circular y que se articulan mediante núcleos rectangulares que sirven de comunicación vertical.

SCHOOL & HOME FOR HIV ORPHANS

The Rakai district in Uganda was the site of the first diagnosed case of HIV in 1982. This orphanage is a result of a project from an ONG cooperation, to help some African children from the millions who have lost one or both of the parents because the epidemic. In a place of nine acres is organized the program that includes: two bedrooms, three classrooms, two offices and a bathroom, distributed into eight spaces that made a ring whose remember a small town, allowing some parts are directly related the others.


Denominada ‘la Zona Cero del SIDA’, el distrito de Rakai, en Uganda, fue el lugar donde se diagnosticó el primer caso de la enfermedad en 1982. El orfanato de Rakai es fruto del compromiso de una ONG para ayudar a algunos niños africanos, de entre los millones que han perdido a uno o dos de sus progenitores a causa de la terrible epidemia.Sobre un terreno de nueve hectáreas se organiza el programa que incluye dos dormitorios, tres aulas, dos oficinas y un baño, distribuido en ocho espacios agrupados en un anillo cuya disposición recuerda a la de un pequeño pueblo, permitiendo que unas partes se relacionen directamente con las otras.
